WintecActive offers on-line IT programmes to New Zealand citizens and permanent residents. Jointly developed by the Waikato Institute of Technology (Wintec) and e-learning company Intuto Ltd the focus is placed on providing quality education that is all at once widely accessible, flexible and cost effective.

The WintecActive programmes are available to students located in Auckland and the Waikato. Using the internet as a virtual teacher students can access the courseware from anywhere they have access to a computer and the internet. This means running a business, being a full time employee, a busy parent - or a combination of all these need no longer be barriers to learning.

WintecActive currently offers a Level 2 Certificate in Computer Applications and a Level 3 Certificate in Information Communication Technology.

Intuto is recognised as a leading provider to the educational sector in New Zealand while the Waikato Institute of Technology is currently the fifth largest institute of technology within New Zealand with some 24,000 full-time and part-time students.
